Another supposed Halloween treat is the theatrical release of Shelby Oaks, from a former movie critic who stated that his childhood in a cult has shaped the path he is on today, as his debut horror film is centered around the world of paranormal investigators. These movies thrive during Halloween, and audiences eat them up, but here's the real question: what's behind the stories, the symbols, and so-called entertainment? His hit song Hard Fought Hallelujah has only boosted his mainstream popularity, especially after teaming up with the wildly successful Jelly Roll. Some see the collaboration as a compromise, others as an opportunity to reach the lost. But in a recent interview with Jelly Roll, it seems Brandon Lake may be taking a page out of his friend and co songwriter Stephen Furtick's playbook using Scripture out of context to soften the blow of the gospel message. Furtick once told Charlamagne the God that Jesus's words in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life" weren't exclusive but actually inclusive.
